HI all, we have released the sunburst to most users at this point, you should see it on the dashboard of a repo to the right of your coverage over time graph. If you don't see it, you will by tomorrow as we finish our standard phased rollout of the feature. Let us know how you like it!

Hi Jason, we've heard lots of feedback form various users that miss the visual component and are working to provide a novel visual experience to better drill down into areas of missing coverage, but unfortunately the sunburst is unlikely to return as we found most users weren't utilizing or getting value from it. Please keep an eye out for further changes to the repo overview view soon!
Jason Ernst
AJ Fazzio: Sounds good, looking forward to it!
Mark Hamilton
AJ Fazzio: Just from an outside perspective I am amazed to hear that your team has concluded that users dont get value from it, its the main way we found files that had bad coverage a a big reason we started using the service. Every user of the service I know cruises that sunburst to find issues. Nevertheless, we appreciate your teams work on codecov and eagerly awaiting a newer visualization of coverage.

AJ Fazzio: The sunburt chart was the one thing that gave me the most value to be honest. I'd love to see it again.

Mark Hamilton:
Just wanted to share some iterations the team is working on this sprint, which you'll see in the next two weeks on the Coverage/Repo overview section:
• Line graph display with coverage over time
• Tracked, covered, partial, and missed lines per files in the table view (+ sortable)
• View files by tree and/or list view (3 weeks +/-)
The view will look something like this:
Codecov Product Design
The differing views (list/tree) and sorting by missed lines is intended to help you find the files that had bad coverage.
We'd love to hear any thoughts you have about this!
Mark Hamilton
Codecov Product Design: That looks nice and excited to try! Good luck on the sprint!

Mark Hamilton: It's live now... would love your thoughts!

Codecov Product Design: meh
you need to (re)hire UI & UI regression testing people...

AJ Fazzio: Any news on the sunburst graph? I find it very hard to read just a file list with a % column. The graph does not give me much insight either since it's a steady increase over time (micro % changes over each day).
AJ Fazzio
Erik Södermark: Hi Erik, thanks for following up, it's currently slated for this quarter (ending end of January) and we will be sure to push out an announcement when it launches.
Erik Södermark
AJ Fazzio: I saw that it's live now! THANK YOU!!
